Samsung Galaxy tab vs. iPad – Is it the World War III?
Samsung Galaxy Tab is a 7-inch tablet loaded with Google’s Android v2.2 dessert operating system, Froyo. It is the first Android tablet that gave a legitimate competition to the Apple’s iPad. It was equipped with a key feature, Samsung’s TouchWiz UI upgrade, which enables applications from the Samsung’s App Store, as well as from the Android Market.
Samsung Galaxy Tab is powered by a 1GHz A8 ARM Cortex processor with a PowerVR SGX540 graphic accelerator, a TFT capacitive touchscreen and 16GB of internal memory, plus an extra microSD card slot. Samsung Galaxy Tab is available on not one, not two, but all four major U.S mobile carriers – T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and AT&T.
Samsung Galaxy Tab gives you the power on-the-go with innovative SWYPE technology for fast text input and extensive connectivity on the 3G network, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, or Bluetooth 3.0. The key feature of the tablet is that it runs on the Google’s mobile operating system, Froyo, which is an open source platform that provides opportunities to developers to enhance the system more.
The 7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels provides an accurate color display, and a high quality images with sharp and stunning videos. It comes with a 3MP rear-facing camera for high quality mobile pictures and videos, plus a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video chat. Samsung Galaxy Tab is also bundled with many applications like Google Maps, Samsung’s Media Hub, etc.

Samsung Galaxy Tab is a worthy rival to the Apple IPad. The battery life is excellent and running on an Android 2.2 operating system, Froyo. It is a lightweight tablet and small in size, which allows you to slide it in your pocket. You can use the tablet as a normal mobile phone.
