Not worth reading – Worst Android Tablets ever made

Android operating system is getting more and more popular, not only in Smartphones, but also in tablets. It seems like it is going to dominate the tablet market by surpassing the Apple’s iPad market. There had been several good Android tablets (like Samsung Galaxy Tab, Dell Streak 5, etc.) were released in the year 2010. However, few worst Android tablets were also launched in the same year.

India’s $35 Tablet
You might be knowing that $35 Indian tablet for students was revealed in the third quarter of the 2010. The 35-dollar tablet was running on an Android operating system and was advertized by the Government of India. Everyone started praising India’s technological proficiency and forecasted India’s arrival at the tech world stage. However, the so-called India’s $35 Tablet was actually a Hivision Speedpad, which is a tablet manufactured by Chinese company named Hivision that was first revealed at CeBIT 2010 and was tagged $100. Maylong M-150
It is an Android-based device, which is sold by Walgreens for a mere price of $99. The tablet is sporting a 7” touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480, a 400MHz or 533 MHz processor, 256MB RAM, 2GB of internal storage and weighs less than a pound. It comes with a USB-based 3G data card and is loaded with Android 1.6 operating system. The tablet design is a replica of the Apple’s iPad design.  It is the worst Android tablet ever made –

  1. The touchscreen of the tablet is significantly less sensitive; you have to mash your finger into the screen for any input.
  2. There is a Wi-Fi connectivity problem; you will not be able to connect to the wireless network at first attempt.
  3. Whenever you press Share button for sharing any image, an error pops-up – “No Application can perform this action”.
  4. The battery life of the tablet is also very poor. The standby time is maximum three hours and usage time is even worst; the battery give only one hour or less backup.
  5. It cannot be upgraded to latest Android version due to limitations of hardware.
